layers create depth

Unexpected pieces, like floor plans and architectural drawings, can be more that just an informational element and provide a creative depth. Showcasing the photos on a white, shadowed background creates another layer, adding to the feel of depth.

When consulting with a client, I like to know what materials are available to work with: photos, drawings, text content, etc. Many times, the client may not have these elements, but they have samples of what they like. A line drawing here, a photo there. These samples give me a peek into the mind’s eye of my client – their vision of what they want.  I use them to design elements that will be combined to create the final product.

Below is a sample of a flyer that was designed using client provided content.
