before & after
from sketch to final design. I have found that each person desires a different degree of involvement in how the final design turns out. For example, some may bring to me a sketch with comments like, “Here are some of the items I really want included, but please be creative and come up with something striking.” That gives me a large amount of freedom to design a product with little restraint. Other times, the client is very involved at every step of the way, as they have a clear image in their mind that they want the design to mimic. This reduces my creative freedom, but gives me a strong direction on how to proceed with accomplishing the design task. Both approaches have their benefits and drawbacks for the designer, but have produced equally beautiful and striking pieces.
